Welcome to Maison des Pelerins & La Baume des Pelerins in the heart of Sablet Village – two Dream Vacation Rental Homes in Provence. Our homes plus another adjoining large property which was the home of the Papal Vice Legat together, made up a majority of the functioning complex of buildings owned by the Church in Sablet, during the French Papal Era.
…….it is likely (from the appearance) that the oldest part of these houses dates back to a similar time and were once associated with the Papal Residence, and accommodations for pilgrims and visitors to the area.
The interiors of both our homes, Maison des Pelerins and la Baume des Pelerins have been completely renovated – they provide an experience that is a dream of living in a small village in Provence! They are available for rental separately or together.
Since these homes are adjoining and within the old Medieval walls of the village – Reserved together, they are ideal for for groups of 8 – 10 guests. It is quite an unusual to find large homes such as a combined space we have here, comprising 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms, large living and dining areas etc., (totaling approx 4,000 sq. ft.). within the walls of an old village.
On a warm summer morning, wake up to the church bells and the aroma of fresh bread baking at the Boulangerie below. Take two minutes to walk down to the Sablet Village Shops for your fresh bread and croissants for breakfast, which you can enjoy in the coutryard, by the fountain at Maision des Pelerins, or in the cool freshness of the “baume” at La Baume des Pelerins.
