The feel is very much one of today’s Provencal home - a wonderful combination of local character, décor and use of space combined with today’s Provencal style.

La Baume des Pèlerins is literally about one minute’s walk from the village square. 

Arriving at  this home through an elegant iron double gate, into the ground floor vestibule, there is a noticeable feeling of charm and  serenity. The elegant entryway takes you upstairs (from the “Rez-de-chaussee” or street level), to a light, bright great room. Very stylish, it was recently remodeled and decorated beautifully.  The great room is a combination of  Living, Dining and a beautifully appointed kitchen. 
Whether it’s relaxing with a book, listening to your favorite music or cooking your Provençal favorites, after a day’s sightseeing and exploring, this is just the environment. La Baume is furnished to the same comfort and quality standards, that our guests
at Maison des Pelerins have greatly appreciated. 

In the Living Room ......
A comfortable leather sofa and  armchairs provide plenty of relaxing space.  Amenities include French and English television, DVD player that plays American and European DVD’s, CD Player, Ipod docking station and a small library of DVD's, books and magazines

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped ......
..... just waiting for you to make the most of your culinary skills with the fabulous fresh ingredients available locally. The walls of the kitchen area are finished in a rich terra cotta color, with stone and terra cotta tiles and a rich wood counter top.   Quality appliances include an electric stove top, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator/freezer as well as a complete supply of cookware.

The dining area,  furnished with a round glass dining table and four chairs comfortably accommodates your guests who will definitely appreciate the results of your cooking.

Climbing five steps takes you to a powder room, two comfortable, spacious bedrooms and an updated bathroom featuring stone tiles and a walk in shower (known as an "douche Italienne" in France). The bedrooms are furnished and decorated for comfort, relaxation and tranquility.  Both bedrooms have beds that can be set up as one large bed, (one king sized bed and one queen sized bed), or two twin beds.

But we still haven't heard about the Baume??!!

               This is one of my favorite places in the whole village ....  calm …. cool ……. relaxing… in a very elegant way. It makes its way from the entry vestibule, with its dark tiled floor and white washed sandstone walls, right into the hill that our village is built on.   A great place to have a casual outdoor meal, enjoy aperitifs before your meal, lay back and read a book in the coolness or enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner in this intimate space.  Our baume takes full advantage of the hillside location of the village.   
As you breakfast here, the morning light streams into the east facing space and reflects off the back wall creating a picture perfect moment. 
In the heat of the day, the stone walls of the sandstone hill provide a cool repose for lunch.  Dinner here is romantic – candlelight and a bottle of our great Sablet wine ……
…… this is a truly unique and very Provencal outdoor space.

 
Adjacent to the baume is similar area set up for two purposes – it has one area that serves as the utility/laundry area, that also functions as a “summer kitchen” with a refrigerator, hot plate, microwave/convection oven and is equipped with essentials for cooking so that you can cook or prepare meals with ease and convenience “outdoors” on summer days. 
Another part of this baume is set up for relaxing – furnished with lounging chairs, tables and lamps......
...... it has the feel of your favorite spa!
