".....We are back home, after another great stay in Sablet!

............Everything worked beautifully for us at the house and everything else as well. We especially enjoyed spending quite a bit of time at Les Abeilles, between lunch the weekend we arrived, New Year's Eve, and lastly our cooking lesson. We made and ate a truffles menu Friday the day before we left, and Marlies took us to the truffle market in Richerenches Saturday morning before we drove away. Thank you very much for arranging all of that for us.

By the way, it is a little far from Sablet, but we made a return visit one day to St Quentin la Poterie, just outside Uzes (we have also stayed previously in a different house north of Uzes). They have a number of interesting potters there, but our favorite is David Lagrein and we enjoyed visiting him again. We stopped at Domaine Piaugier to see them but they were not open. We have been seeing some of their wines here in Virginia at least.

We look forward to another visit to Sablet before too long..."

"Just a quick note to say we had the most wonderful stay in Sablet. The
house was a dream and the village just perfect. We were very lucky
with the weather and only had two wet days and most of the time the
sun was out and the skies were blue.
..........We loved the Boucherie and bought a few meals from there  and we  also
loved the Boulangerie near the fountain. The lady there, Jeannine was
a delight and so friendly. I am so pleased we stayed for 2 weeks, 1
week would not have been long enough.  We ventured to Marseille one
day and of course went to Avignon and the many villages close by to
Sablet.
Thank you so much for providing the "Provence Dream" to us it was just perfect.

We think you are very brave to let strangers into your beautiful
holiday home,which appears to bear the stamp so strongly of your
personality,one can see and feel the heart in every detail.
The Kitchen -  what can one say !! c est parfait ........................preparing a meal at
MdP was a pleasure not a chore.

Another absolute delight was the garden,roses, lavender, hollyhocks
all in bloom. We spent a great deal of time in the garden, reading,
relaxing, dining -- what a joy to breakfast in it's shade, to sun
bathe in it's sun and at the end of the day to dine in the cool of
evening (actually not so cool) but still a great delight.
A bonus was having Sky TV enabling us to view racing at Ascot, an
event in England not to be missed, Trooping of the Colour (The Queen's
Birthday parade).

"..........We really enjoyed your lovely home in Sablet.  From the modern kitchen with every conceivable cooking utensil, the great "American style" shower, the lovely courtyard that we used every day and late into the night, to the charm of the village and the ringing of the church bells (we were definitely happy they didn't ring all night!) etc.  We loved it all.
I think I dragged (my husband) to approximately 15 outdoor markets.  We both gained weight eating every lunch at wonderful restaurants and it didn't help that (my husband) would go out early every morning to walk but ended up at the boulangerie and coming home with two baguettes!  I mustn't forget to mention how much we appreciated the air conditioned bedrooms.  What a joy to be able to get away from the heat and have a good nights sleep.

The house was everything your web site said it was. The house was perfect for our needs. I miss opening the windows every morning and looking over the rooftops of Sablet. We discovered something the night before we left. We had dinner in Gigodas that night and returned to Sablet in the dark for the first time. There is a whole different world at night. The entire cat population of Sablet was out. I bet there is not a living mouse in Sablet! By the way, we really liked the green grocer next to the bakery --tres cute and quite nice!

We will recommend the house to friends."

"I don't know if I told you this or not but one evening (I say evening since it was great having it light so long with the nice weather), my sister and I walked up the hill with our market purchases and were commenting on the different smells of different dinners coming from the open windows. Then there was French TV coming from one window and other sounds. We rounded the corner and heard opera.
We turned to each other and smiled. No words were necessary. We loved the smells and sounds of life in Sablet. The houses are so close but you never feel anyone is intruding. The occasional tourist would round the corner and spot us in the garden. It wasn't and
intrusion but a wrong turn while exploring the the maze of streets. We felt a bit smug as they seemed to admire our little haven at the top of the hill."

We really had a wonderful time at your home in Sablet.  It is a very comfortable home and you
can be very proud of what you have done to it.   We had great weather so we were able to
enjoy the courtyard daily, (until the last 2 days when the Mistrals arrived).   We stayed in Aix
en Provence the lst night so we happened on their market on Saturday a.m.  That was great.
We went to Vaison la Romaine on Tues for their market.  We really liked Vaison, went a few
times.  Walked to Seguret thru the vineyards which was beautiful.  Tasted wine in Gigondas and Chat.du Pape.  Went to Orange and was very impressed with the Roman Amphitheater.  We also went to Isle sue la Sorgue on Sunday for the market and had lunch by the river, fun.   Therewere other villages we visited, St. Remy, Le Boux, Suzette, Crestet, Beumes de Venice, and still had time to rest and read 3 books.  ........We had dinner at Les Abielles,  L'OUstelet and Le Brin d'Oivier.   I think our favorite was Le Brin d'Olivier. ....... We also ate two nights at Ramparts, good pizza.   The groceries and butcher shop worked out fine.   

I don't know if you are aware but the tasting room in Sablet is closed, indefinitely.  .............We really found having the phone for land line calls a great asset ....
I hope to call you again to go back sometime in the not too distant future.  I envy you having such a wonderful  getaway.

I especially loved the kitchen as I enjoy cooking, and where better to cook than in Provence, especially after a trip to the market! The kitchen was a joy to work in and so well equipped! Since coming home I have bought 4 of Patricia Wells’ recipe books, including the 2 which were in the house. I had not previously heard of her, but she is now a firm favourite of mine. (My husband)  is very pleased I have discovered her recipes, too!

"We have just returned from our trip to Provence and your beautiful home.  Thank you so very much for having the wood and the Christmas tree there upon ourArrival it was enjoyed by all.  My daughter and her boyfriend fell in love with Sablet and the surrounding countryside.  Marianne (onsite manager), was very helpful when we had a Glitch with the computer and for anything else we needed she was just a phone call away.
 
The goose from the Butcher was superb and a truly memorable Christmas gathering in your elegant dining room.  We would start every morning with a warm croissant or brioche from the neighborhood boulangerie.  I put on about five pounds, but who could resist those delicious cheeses, fluffy pastries and velvety French wines?
Thank you for all the little touches in the home, like the colorful kitchen aprons, guest soaps and luxurious towels. 
My husband and I have rented homes throughout Europe and yours was certainly one step above.
