This charming and picturesque little village
is at the base of the Dentelles de Montmirail.
A number of hiking trails lead from the village to the Dentelles.
The main square and commercial area is lined with plane trees,
under which one can enjoy a great Provencal meal or a snack.
Amongst the ruins of the ancient fortifications,
rises the ruins of the castle of the Princes of Orange,
while the old wall climbs on to a ridge high above the village.

Wine is foremost in the produce of the village
which also has its own Gigondas appellation
as well as being included as a part
of the Cote du Rhone wine growing area.
